Liverpool on alert as Barcelona are open to selling Ousmane Dembele
Liverpool are one of the clubs on alert after learning that Ousmane Dembele is up for sale, according to El Desmarque (h/t Express).
The 22-year-old Frenchman moved to the Catalans from Borussia Dortmund but has struggled for consistency.
Dembele has also had his disciplinary issues with the Catalans, and the report claims that Barcelona want to sell the Frenchman in the summer.
The 22-year-old hasn’t played consistently for the Catalan giants and his last appearance came in November against his former club.
Other parties keen on Dembele
Chelsea and Manchester United are also keen on the attacker, but the Premier League trio will have to spend big to land Dembele (h/t Express).
Barcelona bought the Frenchman for £120m in 2017 but Dembele is now valued at £85m (h/t Express).
Juventus, Bayern Munich and Atletico Madrid are also keen on the 22-year-old (h/t Express), and it will be interesting to see if Dembele is on the move in the summer.
Liverpool didn’t spend much at the start of this season but could do with quality cover for Mohamed Salah and Sadio Mane.
Xherdan Shaqiri has had his injury problems this season too. The Reds cannot rely on Divock Origi and Harvey Elliott to cover our first-team attackers.
