The development marks the continuation of the promising youngster’s rise in recent seasons. Hill has progressed steadily through the youth ranks at Merseyside since joining the Reds’ set-up at the Under-6 level. (h/t Liverpoolfc
)The youngster is a box-to-box player, who can be deployed at right midfield and right-back with equal effectiveness.
His well-timed runs into the box have become a regular feature of the Liverpool Under-18 side. The youngster has scored eight goals across all levels this season.
His performances saw him be promoted to Neil Critchley’s Under-23 side. He made his senior debut in the Carabao Cup quarter-finals
against Aston Villa in December 2019.Hill becomes the latest Liverpool youngster to sign an extension as the club looks to retain our best youth talents.
Jurgen Klopp has shown the willingness to place his faith in youth when necessary. If Hill continues his development at the same pace, there is no reason why he can’t step up to the first-team in the near future.
