Liverpool stars pictured in training ahead of Watford clash on Saturday

Liverpool firmly placed themselves 22 points ahead of second-placed Manchester City with a resounding 3-2 victory over West Ham United.

Next, the Reds will travel to Vicarage Road to face Watford in what promises to be a crunch clash. Although Watford are placed 19th in the standings and are at significant risk of relegation, it would be foolish to undermine a team that’s playing in front of the home crowd.

Training for the game appears to be in full swing at Melwood. Liverpool’s official website uploaded some of the moments from the training ground as Jurgen Klopp oversaw the proceedings.

Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain can be seen firing in a shot in the picture above. He has truly turned things around for himself but he must be wary of his long-standing tryst with frequent injuries.

Firmino has played a key role for us for the longest time and his skills would once again be necessary as we look to extend our lead at top of the table with a possible win over Watford.

Jurgen Klopp is dressed to brave a snow storm but as the pictures show, he spared no second and kept a keen eye on all the players.

Mohamed Salah’s goals have been crucial to our successes and it is always good to see him up and about. With 15 goals to his name already this term, the Egyptian must aim to better his tally against the Hornets.

Surprise, surprise! New boy Takumi Minamino was also found in action at Melwood. His Liverpool career may have started off on a slow note but if there is anyone who can help him fulfil his potential, it has to be Klopp.

Although we have a solid lead, let’s hope we bag all 3 points against Watford in the upcoming game. From here on, we must aim to score maximum points in all games to comfortably win the long-elusive Premier League trophy.

We are on an unbelievable run and more than our opponents, complacency could be the biggest enemy. However, Klopp would surely be wary of that as we continue our hot streak in the league.
