According to a report from the Daily Mail, Liverpool issued mental health advice to all the players as the wait for their maiden Premier League triumph continues due to the coronavirus breakout.
Liverpool are 25 points clear at the top of the league table and are in need of just two wins to lift their first ever Premier League title. However, the season has been suspended at least until the end of April due to the deadly pandemic.
And Liverpool have sent out mental health advice to our players, telling them what happens to the league is not under their control and they should instead completely focus on minimizing the spread of the pandemic. (h/t Daily Mail)
The advisory was issued in the form of a presentation titled ‘Mental Health & Well-being’, created by Liverpool’s sports psychologist Lee Richardson. The presentation encouraged the players to perform breathing exercises in order to ease any anxiety issues while there was a warning against posting any content on social media that could be perceived insensitive. There was also a section in the presentation which provided tips to the players to deal with isolation, warning against the dangers of boredom in these times. They were advised to establish a daily routine and spend as much time as possible with family. (h/t Daily Mail

As far as the Premier League season is concerned, it has been postponed and extended indefinitely. But it still remains unclear as to when the footballing action will resume.
