According to Liverpoolfc.com, Reds boss Jurgen Klopp has opened up on the moment where he learned club legend Sir Kenny Dalglish was in the hospital with coronavirus.
Widely considered as the best player to don Liverpool colors, the Scotsman had gone to the hospital for separate treatment. It was there that he discovered that he had contracted the virus.
Thankfully, he remained asymptomatic and was discharged from the hospital on Saturday. He has since returned home and is in isolation.
Klopp revealed that the news was met with dismay and shock in the WhatsApp group. He went on to add that being familiar with someone having the virus changes your perspective on the subject.
“What you feel in that moment is a massive difference if you know somebody who got the virus, or if you don’t know.”
“It’s good news – very good news – and I hope he is doing well still.”
Upon reaching home, Dalglish showcased his gratitude to all the well-wishers and thanked them for taking out time to send him the messages.
He also expressed his gratitude to the selfless medical professionals who have treated him and other affected people at a time of great distress.
The 69-year-old has urged people to follow the government guidelines to the tee. It is necessary for people to follow a thorough lockdown so as to not come in contact with others. Social distancing is the name of the game and Dalglish has asked people to follow it.
Stay home, Stay safe.
