It has been said by some that the success Liverpool have experienced in the last couple of years has been at the expense of the Reds’ ability to play free-flowing attacking football.
Jurgen Klopp’s new machine is a more pragmatic side that can attune itself to the opposition they may face even if that happens to be social distancing.
The Reds showcased that they don’t have any such restrictions in entertaining fans off the pitch as they took part in yet another online training session
.The session started off with six coaches and three players, much to the amusement of Jurgen Klopp. The German is jovial and easy-going but does not accept slacking off.
That realization must have hit the players as they soon turned up for the session. It’s either that or the fact that Klopp makes latecomers pay a fine. With the current financial situation threatening to cut their wages, you’d understand why they would rather keep hold of it.
The main agenda seemed to be about Klopp finally getting to have a barbeque in England. The question was broached by Virgil van Dijk. Nothing escapes the Dutchman’s attention off the pitch as well it seems.
Jokes apart the players went about their routine while also maintaining their playful sense of humor. Their ability to keep us entertained at a time like this should not be underappreciated.
Liverpool are just six points away from clinching a well-earned Premier League title. There is no concrete news as to when the season will resume. If the club’s training videos are anything to go by, there is no doubt the players will be ready.
The Liverpool players have ensured that in spite of having to maintain social distancing, life can still go on as we know it, at least to the best of our ability.
Stay inside. Save lives.
