Adam Lallana pens extension to stay at Liverpool until the season finishes

According to the club’s official site, Liverpool midfielder Adam Lallana has penned a contract extension that will keep him at the club until the end of the season.

The 32-year-old’s contract at the club was set to expire this summer. However, with the season dragging on, the club was keen to tie him down until the end of the current campaign.

The Premier League had given permission for soon to be free agents to pen extensions provided both sides agree on it. With him now set to stay till July, the veteran is set to see out what has been a glorious campaign. (h/t Independent

Seen as a leader within the camp, Lallana is a player who contributes much off the pitch as on it. Injuries have limited what could have been a more predominant role in the Red renaissance on the pitch. His qualities off it have curried favor with the highest echelons of the Liverpool leadership.
