Rhian Brewster on the radars of six Premier League clubs

According to a report from the Echo, Liverpool academy ace Rhian Brewster is a wanted commodity in the ongoing transfer window, with as many as six Premier League clubs vying to sign him on loan.

The 20-year-old striker is one of the most highly-rated prospects to have come through our academy ranks in recent years. Having made his senior debut in September 2019, Brewster has gone on to feature two more times

The England youth international was loaned out to Swansea City for the second half of the 2019/20 campaign, where he made quite the impact. Brewster featured 22 times for the Championship side and found the back of the net on 11 occasions, leading their push for a promotion. However, they were eliminated in the playoff semi-finals.

Brewster’s exploits haven’t gone unnoticed with a host of clubs in the Premier League and the Championship interested in signing him on loan this summer. (h/t Liverpool Echo

As per the aforementioned report, Aston Villa, Newcastle United, Burnley, Brighton & Hove Albion, Crystal Palace and newly-promoted Fulham have all reached out to Liverpool to check on the possibility of signing Brewster for the 2020/21 season.

Along with these clubs, Norwich City, Watford and Bournemouth – the three clubs that were relegated from the top-flight in 2019/20 have also been in contact with the club for Brewster’s signing. (h/t Liverpool Echo)

As of now, the 20-year-old is training with Jurgen Klopp & co. in Austria. And, Liverpool are intent on ensuring that Brewster joins a Premier League club or a top-flight European club on loan this summer. (h/t Liverpool Echo

Given that minutes are likely to be hard to come by at Anfield, another season out on loan, where he will get regular playing time would be the best option for the youngster.
