Four Liverpool stars and Jurgen Klopp honored at FIFA’s The Best award cemerony

Four Liverpool players feature in FIFA FIFPro Men’s World XI

A report by Daily Mail mentions the 4 Liverpool players who made the FIFPro Men’s World XI at the FIFA Best Awards held on 17th December 2020.

Three Premier League winning Liverpool players were named in the men’s XI world. They were; 2019 Ballon d’Or runner-up Virgil van Dijk, Brazilian goalkeeper Alisson Becker, and full-back Trent Alexander-Arnold.

The three were joined in the team by  Liverpool’s new summer signing Thiago Alcantara

, The Spaniard won the treble with Bayern Munich last year before making the move to Anfield in the summer.

Only one other Premier League player made the team, which was Manchester City’s Kevin de Bruyne.

Here’s the men’s World XI team: Alisson Becker; Alexander-Arnold, Sergio Ramos, Virgil Van Dijk, Alphonso Davies; Joshua Kimmich, Kevin De Bruyne, Thiago Alcantara; Lionel Messi, Robert Lewandowski, Cristiano Ronaldo.

Bayern Munich’s Polish striker Robert Lewandowski won the Best Men’s Player award while Manchester City defender Lucy Bronze was awarded the Best Women’s player award.

While Hansi Flick won the treble with Bayern last year, it was our boss who took home the award for the best men’s coach. Jurgen Klopp guided us to our first league title in 30 years in impressive fashion. (h/t Daily Mail)

He deservedly won the award for the second year in a row. The duo of Alisson and Van Dijk was also present in the 2019 edition fo the men’s World XI.
