“I will talk about it” – French superstar drops transfer hint amidst links to Liverpool

Transfer News: Kylian Mbappe addresses PSG future amid links to Liverpool and Real Madrid

Speaking in an interview (h/t Express) after France beat Bosnia and Herzegovina, Kylian Mbappe mentioned that he is yet to take a call on his PSG future as Liverpool transfer links continue.

The Frenchman has been linked with a move to the Reds recently as Jurgen Klopp looks to strengthen his attack. The 22-year-old is undoubtedly one of the most wanted strikers in Europe.

And there is no surprise that he would attract interest from top clubs. That is also why Real Madrid are interested in a move for the 2018 FIFA World Cup winner.

Mbappe has now himself mentioned that he is unsure of his future at PSG. Mauricio Pochettino is trying to tie him down to a new deal but the Frenchman says he will take a call on it later.

“If [my contract talks] had progressed, I would have come to talk about it already. Of course, I will talk about it when I have made up my mind.”

Worth the price tag

Another thing that he added was his resentment at being in the spotlight of the French media more because he plays in Ligue 1. And the report cites this as another reason why he could seek a move elsewhere.

Could Kylian Mbappe link up with Jurgen Klopp at Liverpool next season?

“Of course it [criticism from the media] gets tiring, especially when you play for a club in your country and you give everything for your national team. It’s different for players who play abroad and only come back here for the national team. I’m there all the time, they speak about me a lot more.”

It is no doubt that Mbappe would significantly strengthen Liverpool. But it is unlikely that he will come cheap as reports emerged earlier this year that the club could want around £174million for their star forward.

More Liverpool News:

But if Liverpool can afford this transfer, it should be a no-brainer to go for him. Roberto Firmino is not flourishing as a goal-scorer and Mohamed Salah could really use a helping hand up front.
