Transfer News: Liverpool told to offer better terms if they want Bayern ace Kingsley Coman
A report by Italian outlet La Gazzetta dello Sport via beIN Sports (h/t The Mirror) states that Liverpool have been told to up their transfer offer for Kingsley Coman.
The Reds have been linked with the Bayern Munich winger and submitted a £30million bid for him. However, Bayern Munich have apparently asked the Reds to up their bid to around £42million.
The 25-year-old has already tasted success at the likes of Juventus, PSG, and now Bayern. He is also a full-fledged international for France and played vs Portugal in their 2020 UEFA Euros group stage encounter.
Last week, a report by Fichajes (h/t Daily Record) and as covered by The Kop Times, stated that Coman’s contract talks with Bayern have come to a halt and that means he could leave the club this summer.
Coman has just one year remaining on his current deal, which expires in the summer of 2022. If he doesn’t renew his deal, he can discuss terms with foreign clubs as a free agent in January 2022.
Coman is also just 25 and can be the long-term successor of Mohamed Salah or Sadio Mane if either one of them decides to leave in the future. Even now, he can compete for starts on a regular basis, as Diogo Jota does.

It remains to be seen if Liverpool up their offer for the winger. Klopp should look to build some much-needed depth in attacking areas before the Reds set out on their title march next season.
