According to journalist Ekrem Konur (h/t @DaveOCKOP), Wolves have shown interest in Divock Origi from Liverpool. The West Midlands club had made a £10m bid for the player. However, Liverpool have rejected the bid. The Merseyside club demand £20m as per the report.
Bruno Lage wants Origi. The player is identified as someone who can lighten the load on Raul Jimenez. Liverpool are interested in selling the player. However, it concludes that the club won’t accept less than their valuation for the Champions League winner.
Origi, 26 has been out of favour for a while. The player made just nine appearances in the Premier League last season. Despite Mane and Firmino’s dip in form, the player was not trusted by Klopp. Hence, one could understand if the player wants to Move. Origi is yet to hit prime. He might be able to revive his career at Wolves.
But, can Liverpool afford to lose Divock Origi?
Origi has been on the end of some memorable Liverpool moments. He was on the end of Trent Alexander Arnold’s corner which helped Liverpool defeat Barca. The club went on to win their sixth Champions League that campaign. The player scored in the final too.
Liverpool might need the player in January. Both Salah and Mane are set to miss out due to international duty. Hence, Klopp might keep the player thinking about that situation.
The club still could let Origi go. However, Liverpool in the past have shown that they would not be on the wrong side of a deal. The club have managed to get a hefty fee
for out of favour player in the past. Hence, if Wolves want Origi, they might need to match Liverpool’s valuation.Football broadcaster Kevin Hatchard explained the various qualities and tactical knowledge that Feyenoord manager Arne…
