Transfer News: Liverpool to battle Tottenham for Adama Traore
According to transfer news from The Telegraph (h/t Daily Star), Liverpool will have to fend off competition from Tottenham if they want Adama Traore. Spurs are said to be holding the edge as they are preparing a bid while Liverpool are still mulling over any such decision.
Liverpool’s attack will be a bit short-staffed this season. Xherdan Shaqiri has left for Lyon meaning that added bit of spark Liverpool could call on is no longer there. It’s not to say the Reds have a weaker frontline but the fact is that Shaqiri was a handy player to have and might need replacing.
Apparently, Liverpool are looking for the same and a name that is on their radar is Adama Traore of Wolves. The Spaniard is a bid of a different option to what Liverpool already have. With a good combination of pace and dribbling, Traore is known to leave the best of defenders befuddled with his skill.
Now, the only issue for Liverpool is that they are not really acting on this interest of theirs. That gives rise to another problem as it has handed Spurs the initiative to go ahead with a deal for him. They are preparing a bid for Traore and it is likely to be a loan-to-buy offer.

Liverpool might need tp pull up their socks here. Traore can be a very handy replacement for Shaqiri and he comes with Premier League experience. Missing him out to a side like Tottenham might not be the best idea.
