Liverpool could miss four first-team stars against Leeds United due to injury problems
According to the Daily Express, Liverpool could be without four first-team players due to injury for the Leeds United Clash. Jurgen Klopp’s team has started the season in fine form and are unbeaten in their first three games in the PL.
Liverpool, in their quest to clinch the Premier League title, will face Leeds United next. The Reds have gained 7 points out of 9 available and are placed 5th in the League table. However, they are handed a major blow before the clash as they could be without four of their star players due to injury concerns.
Liverpool got the job done against Norwich City with a 3-0 win followed by a 2-0 victory over Burnley. They were stopped in their tracks to get all the three points against a resilient Chelsea side at Anfield in a game that ended 1-1.
The controversial red card for Reece James reduced Thomas Tucle’s Chelsea down to 10 men and saw Mohamed Salah equalise for the Reds from a penalty kick in the later stages of the first half. Nevertheless, they could not go on to win the game as 10-men Chelsea earned a hard-fought point after a solid defensive display.
They will travel to Leeds United next in their race to challenge for the League title. However, they could be without their four-team players due to injuries. Notably, star striker Roberto Firmino could be ruled out of the clash after picking up an injury in a 1-1 draw with Chelsea.
Another major absentee is James Millner. The Leeds-born veteran player will be missing out on a return to the club where he started off his career. The midfielder has been a key player for Jurgen Klopp, who often relies on his experience and sheer grit in the midfield for his team.

And to round off the injury list, Takumi Minamino and Neco Williams have also been sidelined due to injuries. The duo, however, won’t be big absentees as compared to Firmino and Milner, both of whom have become an important part of the senior team in recent years.
It remains to be seen how the Liverpool boss copes up with injury issues as they face a stern test against Bielsa’s Leeds United. Leeds themselves are looking for their first win of the season and possess the capacity to land a major blow to Liverpool’s title hopes.
