Curtis Jones made his first start for the Reds in this Premier League campaign on Saturday against Brentford. The youngster had a huge impact on the game as he scored the third goal for Liverpool. The 20-year-old midfielder was impressive throughout the game. We could see more of the youngster this season with Harvey Elliot suffering a horrendous injury against Leeds. The academy product played a crucial part in what turned out to be a six-goal thriller against the Bees.

Both teams went toe to toe with each other and Brentford showed a lot of heart to earn a point against the 2019 Premier League winners. Jones spoke about his disappointment at not being able to seal the match.

“But I’m disappointed that we never came away with all three points and we’ll definitely be going for them for the next game. “
