Jurgen Klopp praises Liverpool star Mohamed Salah after reaching another milestone with the club

In an interview (h/t Liverpool Echo), Jurgen Klopp heaped praises on Egyptian forward Mohamed Salah after he scored his 100th Premier League goal for Liverpool.

Salah has been a revelation ever since he joined the club from AS Roma in 2017. He has been an instrumental part of Liverpool’s attacking lineup. He has won the UEFA Champions League, UEFA Super Cup, Fifa Club World Cup, and Premier League with the Reds.

The forward played an instrumental part in securing these titles for the Merseyside team. The 29-year-old has thus gone on to secure his spot amongst the most elite attackers in world football as he continues to churn out crazy goals statistics for Liverpool.

Mohamed Salah’s achievement with Liverpool

Salah took his tally to 100 Premier League goals for Liverpool in their fixture against Brentford on Saturday. The Egyptian winger scored a beautiful goal after a Fabinho lob that put him on through.

This milestone was achieved by the former AS Roma player in 151 Premier League games. And Klopp wasn’t shy of praising the Egyptian forward as he commented

“Two weeks ago he scored 100 in the league, now 100 (in the league) for Liverpool….But exceptional. We all know in the future when people look back, people will speak about some players in this team 100% and 100% about Mo Salah because his numbers here are insane and incredible.”

That strike against the Bees also put Salah in Liverpool’s top 10 leading scorers of all time. He surpassed Sam Raybould and has now recorded 131 goals for the Reds in all competitions.

The former Chelsea player made the move from Roma to Liverpool for £34million in 2017. Apart from the club trophies, he has gone on to collect several individual honours with the Reds which includes two Premier League Golden Boot awards.

The Liverpool boss also predicted that Salah could be the quickest to score 150 goals for the club. The Egyptian has certainly carved out a special place in the hearts of the Anfield faithful and would like to continue his stellar form. He has been one of the most integral and consistent players in this Liverpool lineup in the past few seasons.
