Serie A giants join Liverpool in race to sign 19-year-old German striker

Transfer News: AC Milan latest club to rival Liverpool for the signature of 19-year-old striker Karim Adeyemi

According to Le10Sport (h/t Liverpool Echo), AC Milan are interested in signing RB Salzburg striker and Liverpool target Karim Adeyemi.

The teenager has been grabbing eyeballs this season while becoming an instrumental part of the Austrian team’s attack despite being a teenager. The young striker has scored 11 goals in 15 matches across all competitions for RB Salzburg this season.

The Italian club are said to be looking for a young partner to join Zlatan Ibrahimovic and Olivier Giroud at the Rossoneri. Adeyemi fits this criterion perfectly and has also garnered interest from other top clubs like Inter Milan, Barcelona, and Borussia Dortmund.

The mercurial striker has been dependable upfront and scored at a very consistent level. Liverpool have created a stellar attacking trio under Jurgen Klopp but Roberto Firmino’s seemingly limited involvement and fluctuation in form in the last two seasons can be a cause for concern.

The teenager can be a great addition to the Merseysiders as it would give the 54-year-old manager greater options to rotate his squad and add some reinforcements to the Reds. The club will also be forced to think about the long-term future of the club with Roberto Firmino

Adeyemi could take some time to adjust to the conditions and intensity of the English game but the club could reap the benefits if he is moulded and nurtured properly. The club would be looking to add a young exciting striker in its ranks. Karim Adeyemi might be a great choice but any move to Anfield right now is very tentative as there is growing interest from a host of clubs across Europe.
