“Getting there”- English Liverpool starlet provides positive update on his recovery from injury

Harvey Elliott updates Liverpool fans about his injury and recovery process

Liverpool youngster Harvey Elliott uses social media to keep the fans posted about the new development of his recovery process. According to LiverpoolEcho, he posted new clips on his Instagram handle showing his workouts and recovery methods to the world on Thursday.

Elliott is one of the most promising prospects in the Premier League. He made headlines in July 2019 when he became the youngest player ever to feature in a Premier League match. He grabbed the chances thrown at him and made the most out of it at Liverpool. This season in the Premier League, Jürgen Klopp gave

him two Premier League starts. Overall he played 250 minutes featuring in 4 matches for the Reds.

He was making headlines with his performance on the pitch when the disaster struck in September against Leeds when the teen suffering a fracture-dislocation and had to be stretched off. He was later taken to a clinic and underwent successful surgery.

Thursday, on his Instagram handle, he posted six stories that show him working out in the rehabilitating centre. In the first story, he was seen doing lower body exercises with weight on his injured leg. In the following four stories, he was doing upper body exercises like squat rows. In the last one, he posted

After completing the surgery, club doctor Jim Moxon described the severity of the injury and the surgery process. In a conversation with Liverpoolfc.com (h/t Liverpool Echo), he said:

“We were able to reduce the dislocation immediately on the pitch, and Harvey had surgery today to repair the fracture and ligaments damaged in the incident.”

Harvey Elliott could make a comeback on the pitch for Liverpool at the end of the season.

Jim Moxon is optimistic about his surgery and thinks that there’s a chance he can make a comeback to pitch at the end stages of the season following the successful rehab. For the Reds fans, that comes as great news considering he is one of their brightest prospects to come out of the academy in recent years.
