Liverpool starlet Harvey Elliott gives a fresh injury update on Instagram

According to Liverpool Echo, Liverpool youngster Harvey Elliott has issued a new injury update on his Instagram account by posting recovery drill images yesterday. 

The youngster made four appearances this season under Jurgen Klopp. In the early stages of the league, he showed promising performances and was moving up in the pecking order. 

This season would have been a breakthrough season for the 18-years-old player had it not been for the injury he suffered

against Leeds United in September. He had to be stretched out of the pitch after suffering the blow from Peacocks’ player Pascal Struijk.

He underwent surgery for the Fracture-dislocation of the ankle under Liverpool’s club doctor Jim Moxon.  Since he started his recovery under the supervision of the doctors, he has been posting frequent updates on his Instagram handle. 

This time he posted a photo of him putting weight on his leg with the caption ‘Bad leg???’. His injured left ankle seems to cope up with the pressure he put on during leg push-ups. 

The club doctor didn’t give

an exact date for his comeback on the pitch because he thinks putting an exact timeframe would put mental pressure on the youngster. But he gave a positive update after the surgery. He stated that they would expect him to start this season, but they would not rush any decision for the player.

The German manager now faces a riddle with his midfield as several players had to be sidelined due to injury. Club captain Jordan Henderson played ample minutes in the past few months, and he would also require a breather very soon. 

The picture could be a great indication of his fast recovery and early comeback. Jurgen Klopp’s team would hope to have their young starlet in the midfield arsenal in the testing phase of the season.
