Recently, the Dortmund player scored an outrageous solo goal in his team’s 3-1 win over Arminia Bielefeld that validated his worth in the world of football.

The 18-year-old midfielder moved to Dortmund from Birmingham City in 2020 to get exposure and game time. He capitalized on the opportunity and now have become one of the hottest transfer targets for elite clubs.

The Reds targetted the youngster on quite a few occasions recently. Jurgen Klopp’s team would use such a skilful player in the middle of the park who can set the game’s tempo.

It is believed that Dortmund recently set the price of their star midfielder at a hopping €120 million (£101 million)

Jurgen Klopp’s team paid the highest amount for a player in 2018 when they signed Virgil van Dijk for £75million from Southampton.

The recent valuation of the youngster could be a massive decision-making dilemma for the board, who historically targetted players before they became world-class for a comparatively low budget.

Despite having an interest in the player for a long time, any approach from the board is unlikely, and a ‘talk of a move is premature.’

If the Reds’ management decides to sign the player, it’d be a massive investment for the club’s present and future growth. By signing him, the Merseyside team’s board could even inject fresh blood into an ageing midfield.
