Transfer News: Liverpool set to make huge wage offer for PSG ace Kylian Mbappe
According to Spanish publication Defensa Central (h/t Liverpool Echo), Liverpool are preparing a wage offer worth €30million-per-year for Kylian Mbappe in order to lure him to Anfield.
Kylian Mbappe has become one of the superstars of the modern game. His achievements are really sensational to achieve at such a young age. He has been clinical for Paris Saint-German even after Lionel Messi’s arrival. The Frenchman’s electrifying performances for the Paris team and the French national team have caught European elite clubs’ eyes.
We wouldn’t be able to see such a battle between clubs for the 22-year-old player’s signature if he intended to stay at PSG. But during the summer window, he informed Les Parisiens about his desire to leave the French capital.
The Real Madrid board did a great tussle in the summer window to somehow convince the PSG board to sell their star player. The Los Blancos board saw their second bid worth €200m (£171.7m) rejected on the transfer deadline day. They attempted a third bid too. But they waited in vain for a positive response as the PSG board kept rejecting offers.
Liverpool has been linked with the player for quite some time now. Now it is believed that the Merseyside board is preparing a €30 million per year wage offer to beat Real Madrid in the race.
The Reds had the luxury of holding one of the most clinical front three in the world of football for several years. But the age of their key players could become a concern for Jurgen Klopp’s team in the forthcoming future.

Liverpool did bring some reinforcements in the past transfer windows, but Mbappe’s goalscoring pedigree is on a different level compared to some of them.
In any case, if the Reds board decides to pursue the player, it would be a statement of intent. The player could have an instant impact looking at his speed, agility and goalscoring hunger.
