Liverpool target Karim Adeyemi is closing to join Borussia Dortmund
According to Sport Bild (h/t Liverpool Echo), RB Salzburg striker Karim Adeyemi who has been linked with Liverpool is close to joining Borussia Dortmund.
The youngster has been giving electrifying performances for Salzburg this season. The 19-year-old striker’s goal-laden season has seen him become the top scorer of the Austrian Bundesliga.
The German international has bagged 15 goals and three assists in 27 appearances this season. This incredible feat suggests that the teenager could be ready to move to the next level of his career.
Liverpool have been interested in the forward for some time. However, it seems the German ace has other intentions for his future destination.
It is believed that Adeyemi is nearing a move to Dortmund. The Austrian club are seeking a fee in the region of €40million (£34m). However, the BVB board are willing to go up to €35M (£30m).
The recent form of Mohamed Salah has taken all highlights. However, the Liverpool front three isn’t getting any younger, which could trigger a long term concern. On the other hand, despite Divock Origi’s exemplary performances, he cannot always be relied upon.
