Speaking after the game against Nottingham Forest as quoted by Liverpool Echo, Jurgen Klopp has called Diogo Jota ‘exceptional’ after his match-winning goal against Nottingham Forest last night.

The forward has been in tremendous form for the Reds this season establishing himself as a starter in Jurgen Klopp’s team. The Portuguese international scored his 19th goal of the season in the win last night.

After the match, Jurgen Klopp waxed lyrical about the forward’s form calling his goal incredible. The forward showed excellent awareness to find the net from a tight angle, making it appear easier than it looked.

“Oh what a player! This goal was exceptional”

The present and the future?

Jota has proved time and again that he can be a prolific goal scorer. The Portuguese has taken over as the starting centre forward from Roberto Firmino.

At 25, Jota is still very young and has a lot of time to develop. He already seems to be well-refined in most aspects of his game and playing more and more under Jurgen Klopp will only elevate this status.

He has already proven himself to be an important player for both club and country and Klopp will be relieved that the Portuguese has recovered from his injury.
