Speaking to LFC TV as quoted by Liverpool Echo, Virgil van Dijk has urged his Liverpool teammates to enjoy their hectic run-in to the season as the Reds continue their pursuit for the unprecedented quadruple.

After beating Nottingham Forest 1-0 in the FA Cup quarter-final thanks to a goal from Diogo Jota, the Reds have drawn a date with Manchester City for the semi-final next month.

Having already secured the Carabao Cup going neck to neck with Manchester City in the Premier League, competing in the quarter-finals of the Champions League and the semi-final of the FA Cup, Liverpool are set to have a hectic April with games coming thick and fast.

The Reds defender Van Dijk has claimed that his teammates must embrace the workload in anticipation of such a run of important fixtures. After all should the Reds get it right, they could make football history.

“I think one of the first things you don’t have to forget is: enjoy it.”

“That’s what we have to do in April as well. Make sure you recover well, prepare well”

A make or break month?

With so many crucial games coming up, the month of April could be a make or break for Liverpool’s season. Having already won the Carabao Cup, the Reds have had a whiff of winning trophies this season. With three more on offer, it remains to be seen what awaits them come April.

They have the potential title-deciding clash against Manchester City which could decide where the Premier League title ends up.

The Reds have Benfica to tackle in the Champions League quarters and Manchester City again in the FA Cup semis. Apart from City, the Reds have a clash with Manchester United and the Merseyside Derby with Everton next month.

It’s safe to say that this is the most crucial month for Jurgen Klopp and the Reds this season. They have a lot riding on it and a potential quadruple to be won. April could make or break this season for the Reds. Like Van Dijk says, they must embrace the occasion and enjoy it.
