Teenage sensation Harvey Elliott Liverpool duo Jurgen Klopp and Mohamed Salah
Speaking in a series called ‘Assumption’ on the YouTube channel UMM as quoted by Liverpool Echo, Harvey Elliott has sung praises of Jurgen Klopp likening him to a father figure whilst also acknowledging Mohamed Salah as the best player.
Harvey Elliott has been a break-out star for Liverpool, slowly yet surely establishing himself in Jurgen Klopp’s team. Along with Curtis Jones, Elliott is considered to be among the biggest prospects at Anfield and could define Liverpool’s future generation.
The English starlet suffered a horrific injury against Leeds United earlier this season that kept him out for months. He has now bounced back spectacularly, also scoring since his return.
When asked about Klopp’s influence on him, the 18-year-old called him a father figure. It is an apt admission given the impact the German has on his young prospects.
“He is (a father figure). He’s the best possible man for the job, I can say, and the best possible person to be learning off.”
Speaking about Mohamed Salah’s stature, the Liverpool winger called him the best in the world. The Egyptian has gone from strength to strength at Anfield and has taken his performances up a notch.
“Who wouldn’t love playing with Mo Salah? In my opinion he’s the best in the world. “
The future star?
Harvey Elliott, a talented prospect may be waxing lyrical about Mohamed Salah today but it may not be long before the English wonderkid himself becomes a star in his own right.
Elliott has unbelievable potential and at 18, he has many many years to grow, As he himself alludes to, the former Fulham prospect is under the tutelage of one of the best managers in the world in Jurgen Klopp and the German manager can get the best out of him.
Having already secured the Carabao Cup, Liverpool are still in contention for three titles and Elliott will be hoping to play a starring role from now until the end of the season.

A future star in the making, the sky is the limit for Elliott. It remains to be seen if he reaches those heights. Whether he will follow in Salah’s footsteps and reach similar levels of performance is to be seen.
