Reliable journalist reveals why Liverpool have postponed announcing new signing

Fabrizio Romano: Liverpool decide to postpone Fabio Carvalho announcement

According to popular Italian journalist Fabrizio Romano on Twitter, Liverpool have decided to postpone the announcement of the signing of Fabio Carvalho from Fulham out of respect for the Championship club.

Romano claims that the agreement is 100 percent completed and he is definitely moving to Anfield. There is absolutely no chance for any team to hijack the deal, much to the relief of Reds fans everywhere.

Liverpool have signed Fulham midfielder Fabio Carvalho on a permanent deal. It is believed that the current contract will keep the 19-year-old at Anfield till 2027. This will give him enough time to develop into a reliable player for the Reds.

The Reds have secured his services for a fee of £5million with potential add-ons of £ 2.7 million. A sell-on clause has also been included and it is believed that the Merseysiders have no plans of sending him back on loan to Craven Cottage.

The Portuguese midfielder has been on our radar for quite some time now and shows the potential to be a world-beater one day. The teenager who made his way through the ranks at Fulham has played 37 matches

across all competitions, bagging nine goals and seven assists for Marco Silva’ men till date.

A matter of time

Carvalho is majorly deployed as an attacking midfielder in his time with the London-based club but has also been used as a central midfielder and left-winger on occasions. He shows great composure and ability on the ball at such a tender age.

Carvalho is on his way to Madrid

Harvey Elliott, who made the switch from the Craven Cottage outfit to Liverpool, has grown at a stellar pace, proving to be a dependable option whenever called upon by Klopp. The fans would be hoping that the Portuguese midfielder will have a similar trajectory at Anfield.

The Reds will be hoping that Carvalho also follows a similar path and goes on to become a star at Anfield. Signing the Portuguese seems like a great bit of business from the Reds and it was, the amount they have paid will seem redundant.

Developing in a place like Liverpool under the tutelage of Jurgen Klopp is a dream for many players and Carvalho is just about to experience just that. In the Portuguese, the Reds have a player for the future. Whether he could also be an option for the present remains to be seen.
