Liverpool reaches an agreement with Aberdeen FC for Calvin Ramsay

According to The Express, Liverpool have completed their third and final signing of the summer transfer window in the form of Scottish youth sensation Calvin Ramsay.

Ramsay, a right-back by trade, notched up five assists in 22 league games, establishing himself as one of the Scottish Premiership’s rising talents. Liverpool made a strong bid for his signing based on his performances.

Ramsay was voted Young Player of the Year by the Scottish Football Writers’ Association after registering one goal and nine assists in 33 appearances

for Aberdeen. There is every reason to believe that he can develop into a top-class player in the years to come.

The highly-rated defender is expected to become Liverpool’s third and final acquisition. The charge is expected to be in the range of £4m, with the possibility of a £1.5m raise if add-ons are reached.

Ramsay is likely to be Liverpool’s final acquisition and the Merseyside club will prioritise a midfielder in the summer transfer window of 2023.

Ramsay’s chances of getting regular playing time at Anfield might be jeopardised because he will be serving as a deputy for Trent Alexander-Arnold. He might take the position of Neco Williams, who is close to an exit.

The Scottish youngster is scheduled to join Liverpool ahead of the club’s pre-season training camp, where he might be eyeing to impress Jurgen Klopp.

Ramsay may be inexperienced in top-flight football, but he’ll find the ideal tutor at Liverpool. Andy Robertson might take the youngster under his wing and assist him in adjusting to life at one of the world’s most prestigious clubs.
