Liverpool academy quartet continues to train with the first team

Isaac Mabaya and Tyler Morton amongst four Liverpool academy stars training with first-team

Some Liverpool academy stars are still training with the first team after the side’s tour to Thailand. Isaac Mabaya, Stefan Bajcetic, Tyler Morton and Harvey Davies have been present to train with the senior side, as noted by Liverpool Echo.

The quartet seem to have impressed Jurgen Klopp during the pre-season. The four players were involved in games against Manchester United and Crystal Palace.

Mabaya and Morton were especially impressive when given the run out on the pitch in the last couple of games. The academy stars trained with the likes of Luis Diaz, Mohamed Salah and Jordan Henderson.

The future looks bright

Preston-born Mabaya played at right-back against United and held his own against players with Premier League pedigree. The 17-year-old supported the team well in the attacking third.

Morton, on the other hand, looked like a seasoned midfielder when he came on. The 19-year-old was calm on the ball. The youngster rarely gave away possession in the cameos he played.

Academy goalkeeper Davies also looked sharp in the game against Palace. He came on for a 30-minute cameo against the Eagles. Bajcetic also must have caught the eye of Klopp to be included in training with the seniors.

Trent Alexander-Arnold is one of Liverpool’s academy stars.

The Liverpool academy has given the Merseysiders some gems over the years. Trent Alexander-Arnold has become one of the best right-backs in world football.

In an ageing squad, Liverpool also boast a load of youngsters. Harvey Elliott and Curtis Jones have played a key role in Klopp’s side. Calvin Ramsay and Fabio Carvalho have been recently signed as well.

In a few years, fans will hope the academy quartet are able to fulfil their potential as many have before them. It’s exciting to see the Reds have such talent in the academy. The future looks bright if the youngsters realise their potential.
