In an interview posted by Football Daily via Twitter (h/t Liverpool Echo), Barnes was sounding determined to improvise on a good season with Leicester seeing them through to the UEFA Conference League semi-finals.
“You look at last year, Salah and Son, the amount of goals they scored. They’re probably two of the best at running in behind.”
The 24-year-old, who plays out mainly from the left side of the attack, racked up 11 goals and 14 assists in 48 appearances for his club throughout the season.
