Journo claims Liverpool are “almost 100% certain” to sign this teenage midfielder

Journalist makes Jude Bellingham claim amid Liverpool links

Speaking to The Redmen TV, Liverpool FC’s correspondent with goal.com, Neil Jones, stated that it is ‘almost 100% certain’ that long-term Reds transfer interest Jude Bellingham will move next summer (h/t Liverpool.com).

It is to be seen whether Liverpool would be successful in signing the 19-year-old. Liverpool face competition from Manchester City and Real Madrid in their pursuit to sign the former Birmingham City midfielder.

However, according to The Telegraph (Subscription Required), Liverpool are leading the race to sign Bellingham. Liverpool signed Arthur Melo from Juventus on a loan deal and made sure that they don’t make a big financial commitment this summer due to their injury crisis in midfield.

Mission Jude 2023 for Liverpool

With the World Cup also coming up, and Jude almost certain to feature in the World Cup, his performances could skyrocket his price furthermore. Not very long ago, the Englishman had a world-class Champions League outing against Manchester City, earning high praise from Pep Guardiola.

Moreover, the contracts of Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain and Naby Keita at the Reds expire in 2023 and Liverpool certainly need reinforcements in midfield. Furthermore, Liverpool’s current midfielders are ageing as well, and the club certainly needs young blood.

Jordan Henderson, James Milner and Thiago Alcantara are all above the age of 31 and their legs won’t necessarily be enough to compete for all four trophies come the following season and so forth.

Since joining Die Schwarzbelgen in 2020, Bellingham has progressed with success and has established himself as one of the best youngsters in the world. He is an all-round midfielder who can be useful in Klopp’s all-action midfield.

As earlier pointed out, being one of the best young midfielders in the world, it will not be an easy ask for Liverpool to get his signature. Only time will tell whether the Reds will be successful in their pursuit of signing the midfielder.
