Mykhaylo Mudryk drops Premier League hint amid Liverpool links
In an interview with The Times (h/t Liverpool Echo), Liverpool transfer target Mykhaylo Mudryk dropped a hint surrounding a move to the Premier League amid multiple reports linking him with a move to Liverpool.
The 21-year-old is often termed the ‘Ukrainian Neymar’. The Shakhtar player has garnered attention from Europe’s elite post his performances in the UEFA Champions League. He has two goals and two assists from as many appearances in the competition this season.
The youngster fancies a move to the Premier League, and earlier this window, his club rejected a deal of €40m from Everton as well. He hinted at a move to England’s top-flight when prompted about the same in an interview with The Times.
Yes, yes it is possible. The Premier League is the best league in the world and everyone wants to play in this league.
The Ukrainian Neymar?
The winger was also linked to Brentford earlier this season. His versatility is something the Reds could do with in attack. He can play on either wing and in attacking midfield as well.
He could prove to be a good backup for Luis Diaz. There is no natural left-winger in the team apart from the Colombian. Mohamed Salah on the right wing could do with extra backup, in addition to Harvey Elliott who is currently putting a shift in from central midfield.
By bringing in a youngster, Liverpool will also reduce the average age of their squad and deal with fatigue, giving gaffer Jurgen Klopp a variety of options. At only 21 years of age, Mudryk has a long future ahead of him, something Liverpool could benefit from.
With him admitting that a move to the Premier League is something he fancies, the ball is now in Liverpool’s court to try and attempt to sign a transfer target. But a player like Mudryk is not someone who is necessarily on the Reds’ radar presently.
