Borussia Dortmund to decide on Jude Bellingham price tag after World Cup Liverpool interest

Borussia Dortmund could have a busy transfer window next summer and one of their most prized assets in Jude Bellingham is more than just likely to attract a number of suitors at the end of the season.

Liverpool are among the clubs looking to sign the player to feature for Jurgen Klopp’s side starting next season. The 19-year-old midfielder has been on the Reds’ radar ever since he made his move to the Bundesliga.

The former Birmingham City midfielder’s value is upwards of £130m

The Express now states that Borussia Dortmund shall decide on the final price for their superstar after the World Cup in Qatar [via Fabrizio Romano’s Twitter]. Liverpool’s pursuit of the midfielder shall be up for a challenge by Manchester City, Real Madrid, Chelsea and Manchester United as per the Italian.

Hence, Bellingham’s final asking price will depend heavily on his performance in the World Cup later this year. It could be possible that interested clubs could bid as early as the January window to secure his services.

Moreover, Liverpool seem

to be leading the race to sign the player as their interest in Jude has been prolonged. Bellingham is one of the best young midfielders in the world, and given the Reds’ long-going persistence, it would certainly be a massive failure if Jude is not wearing the Red of Merseyside next season.

It is no secret that Liverpool are transitioning in terms of the midfield and would certainly need long-term replacements, and starter quality. Who better than Bellingham to fill in that potential void?

However, it remains to be seen if the Reds – known to be shrewd operators in the transfer market – are ready to splash the cash if Dortmund place a high transfer valuation on Bellingham.
