West Ham United could be without two of their star defenders against Liverpool at Anfield
As per Football.london, West Ham United could be without Craig Dawson and Kurt Zouma against Jurgen Klopp’s Liverpool on Wednesday night. The duo are major doubts for the game and it remains to be seen if they will make the cut.
Moreover with Maxwel Cornet already ruled out, the Hammers already have their task cut out. The Irons’ gaffer David Moyes is yet to confirm whether Zouma will take part against the Reds or not.
He was not a part of the Hammers’ squad for the last two games as well. Dawson, on the other hand, suffered a dead leg injury against Fulham and it only got worse during their UEFA Conference League fixture last week.
As far as the defence is concerned, Liverpool have conceded just one goal less than West Ham this season in the league. With the Reds’ frontline showing more bite, the time is ripe for us to take the Hammers to the cleaners.
Liverpool have recently hit a decent patch of form and will hope that it continues for as long as possible. Becoming the first team to defeat defending champions Manchester City could prove to be a season defining result.
The last goal West Ham scored against Liverpool in the Premier League was by Zouma. With his involvement in doubt, the Hammers could have a tough time keeping Liverpool at bay. But in football, we cannot say anything. The major threat to keep quiet for the Reds would be Declan Rice in midfield and Gianluca Scamacca upfront.

Liverpool are presently 14 points off the top of table, and would need to get their charge going right away to pose a threat to the present table leaders in Arsenal and Manchester City. Hence, a win against West Ham United will be a must.
