Liverpool and Manchester City to battle for the signature of Brazilian young sensation Endrick

Liverpool’s season has come to a disappointing halt after a dismal start and any hope of a title race with rivals Manchester City is well and truly over with a top four, our best hope of a good season come May.

While their on-field rivalry has taken a backseat this season, both clubs could go up against each other in the transfer market.

This time according to the Liverpool Echo, the fight would be to acquire the services of Brazilian teenage sensation and Palmeiras forward Endrick. He has been in the news for all the right reasons and could be one of the biggest talents to come out of Brazil in recent years.

Recently, Endrick made everyone aware of the talent and ability that he possesses by becoming the youngest player to score a goal with the first team in the history of Palmeiras at just 16 years of age.

Subsequently, the interest among top clubs has increased in the player and as confirmed by Fabrizio Romano, many top European clubs are after his signature once he turns 18 and is eligible to move to Europe.

The transition from South American football to European football has seen a sudden rise over the past decade with top clubs such as Real Madrid and FC Barcelona investing a hefty sum for young talent with an aim to slowly develop and integrate them into the first team.

We have seen the likes of Neymar, Vinicius Jr., and Rodrygo amongst many others who have made the transition and become superstars upon their arrival.

South America is blessed with football talent but with the disparity in salaries, popularity and growth, their European counterparts do hold an advantage and every player wishes to ply his trade in Europe at least once.

It remains to be seen who will be able to land the signature of the talented Palmeiras striker who has the potential to turn into a lethal goalscorer as he has two years until he is eligible for a move.
