Darwin Nunez reacts on social media after his second Champions League goal for Liverpool this season

Liverpool star Darwin Nunez puts out a tweet after his heroics against Ajax in the Champions League

Liverpool FC’s potential record-signing Darwin Nunez, who joined the club earlier this season from SL Benfica for £85m has finally started to find his feet at the club. Very recently, the 23-year-old Uruguayan scored the second goal for the Reds in a 3-0 win against Ajax Amsterdam.

Initially finding it tough to adjust to the Premier League, Darwin has now started to pick up his form. He has scored three goals in his last four appearances

for the club across all competitions.

Goals against West Ham, Ajax and Rangers have come at just about the right time for the forward as the season is heading towards an important juncture and gathering momentum from hereon can only benefit Nunez and Liverpool.

Here is what Darwin posted on Twitter after the Reds won against Ajax and secured qualification to the next round of the UCL:

The tweet translates to ‘qualification’ in English.

Posting a caption in Spanish which loosely translates to “Qualification”, he also shared a picture which indicated that he is not listening to the outside noise and focusing on his game instead.

In 13 appearances for the Reds across all competitions so far, Darwin has six goals and an assist

to boot. With his growing form, we can only hope that the goals start coming in more volume as the season progresses.

With Erling Haaland also arriving in the Premier League in the same window as Darwin and getting off to a flyer, contrary to Darwin’s start, the comparisons started flowing in and could have created an unwanted mind block in Nunez’s head.

However, the following picture he posted alongside the tweet is proof of the fact that he is not focusing on anything else but his game:

With Liverpool playing an out-of-form Leeds United next, Darwin would back himself to get a goal or two against Jesse March’s side.
