Liverpool learn price tag for highly talented 17-year-old German international

Liverpool learn price tag for Borussia Dortmund striker Youssoufa Moukoko

According to the Bild (h/t Liverpool Echo), Liverpool have learnt the price tag for talented German striker Youssoufa Moukoko with the Borussia Dortmund youngster impressing at the club this season.

The 17-year-old forward has had an incredible season with the German giants and has impressed one and all with his performances. Moukoko has scored goals for fun and looks like a special player.

Moukoko’s form has meant that Dortmund have not really missed Erling Haaland. He has filled the void that the Norwegian machine had left behind and this has attracted the interest of other clubs.

The teenage sensation has played 22 times for the German club this season scoring six goals and providing six assists across all competitions. It remains to be seen if he can maintain these kinds of numbers.

Moukoko has a contract until 2023 (Transfermarkt). This means that he is set to be available for a rather cheap price in the winter and if he doesn’t renew with the German club, he would be available for free come the summer.

Moukoko has been rewarded for his excellent performances with a call-up to the World Cup in Qatar. It will make him feel really good for the German and he will be hoping to impress in the absence of Timo Werner.

It is now being claimed that Liverpool will have to shell out £26m for the talented German wonderkid in January if they want to sign the talented striker. However, it is not clear where Moukoko will play for them.

Liverpool already have a talented young striker in Darwin Nunez. Signing another one doesn’t really make sense and it remains to be seen if they actually do pursue a deal for Moukoko in January.
