Transfer News: Liverpool could make a January move for Noah Okafor
According to German Sky Sports journalist Florian Plettenberg via Twitter (h/t Liverpool Echo), Liverpool among other clubs could make a move for RB Salzburg striker Noah Okafor in January.
The Reds are not alone with the likes of Manchester City and AC Milan also interested in the 22-year-old. It is believed that the centre forward will cost around €35-40 million.
He will not be the first forward that Jurgen Klopp would have bought from the Austrian club. The Reds signed Takumi Minamino in the 2020 January transfer window.
Okafor is having a good season with the Red Bull club. The Swiss international has featured in 14 games for the club in Bundesliga this season, scoring seven goals in the process.
It is not surprising to Jurgen Klopp looking for a forward in the market. Mohamed Salah and Roberto Firmino are in their 30s, with Diogo Jota and Luis Diaz out on the sidelines with injuries.
Attacking reinforcements are needed up front and it would make sense to bring in a young and talented striker. The 22-year-old would help in adding depth to the attack, while also helping in increasing the competition in the squad.

The forward is expected to feature for Switzerland in the World Cup. Decent performances there could alert other teams about the forward. It will be wise for the Reds to act swiftly if they do not want to lose the race for his signature.
