Liverpool’s squad share a very close bond off the field as well. There are plenty of bonds in the squad as well, with Trent Alexander-Arnold and Andy Robertson being one of the media’s favourite pairs.
Mohamed Salah also shares a close bond with Konstantinos Tsimikas and was close with Dejan Lovren as well, before the Croatian left the club back in 2020. Kostas is also close friends with Harvey Elliott
, and the two were partying together earlier during the current international break.Apart from the players featuring in the World Cup for their respective countries, the rest of the squad has flown to Dubai for a mid-season training camp, and both, Tsimikas and Elliott are part of the same.
Speaking to the club’s official website about the Dubai camp and his bond with Kostas Tsimikas, here is what Elliott said:
“He’s an unbelievable guy, one of my favourites in the world, to be honest. He’s a lovely guy and got a lovely family around him.”
“So to be able to spend time with him, go for food and have a nice holiday with him, it’s great company to say the least. If anyone has the experience, you know exactly what I mean! “
“He’s just a bubbly guy to be around, always picks you up, which is the most important thing. If you’re feeling down or you’re not feeling it in the morning, he’s there and he’s always energetic. What a guy and what a player to be around.”
The ‘Greek Scouser’ has been a fan favourite ever since he joined the club back in 2020. He was instrumental in Liverpool winning the EFL Cup last season scoring the decisive penalty in the final against Chelsea. This season, Harvey scored the decisive penalty in the same tournament against Derby County to propel the Reds to the next round of the Carabao Cup.
Tsimikas has been an excellent backup for Robbo during his time at the Reds, and Harvey has been one of Liverpool’s best performers this season. Even though the pair have not translated their friendship onto the pitch yet, they would hopefully do that sooner than later.
Both of them would at some point certainly share the pitch, and with all hope, that partnership results in a goal or two. The 26-year-old Greek is giving Robbo a run for his money and it’s likely we see him more in action in the second half of this season.
Even when the Reds jump back into competitive action on 22nd December against Manchester City, both players will in all likelihood be a part of the squad, and hopefully, they pair up together to get Liverpool a goal or two against Pep Guardiola’s side.
