Liverpool ace pens emotional tweet following World Cup heartbreak

Liverpool star Ibrahima Konate pens tweet post World Cup Final disappointment

It took an alienesque effort from probably the best player in the world to take the World Cup away from France. Lionel Messi was excellent for Argentina in the tournament, and even a Kylian Mbappe hat-trick in the final could not help Les Blues get their hands on the trophy for the second successive time.

Liverpool star Ibrahima Konate

was more or less instrumental in France’s run to the Final, but unfortunately, or fortunately for Argentina, Ibou did not start the game and only made a brief seven-minute appearance in the dying embers of the game.

The defender put out a tweet after the loss in the final and hopefully, he bounces back strong from the loss. At only 23, there will undeniably be more opportunities on his way to feature in the World Cup and bring glory to his nation.

” Every great success has been preceded by several great failures.” this is what Konate’s tweet meant in English and with his words, he certainly sounds extremely motivated to take his country that one step extra next time around, and come back with a gold medal around his neck next time.

But speaking of the present moment, Liverpool gaffer Jurgen Klopp will in all likelihood, give him a much-deserved break from the game, and there is no doubt he will be absolutely vital for the Reds after his comeback.

Liverpool’s French defender Ibrahima Konate.

Even though he missed most of the season for the Reds due to an injury, it is great to see him back to 100% fitness and being a solid rock at the back for France. He has 11 appearances across all competitions for club and country this season, five of those in the World Cup plus two in the UEFA Nations League.

On the positive side, Konate should be mighty proud of himself for producing the performances he did in the World Cup, and was arguably their best defender in all the games he played. Hopefully, his form transitions into Liverpool Red as well.
