‘No Favourites’ in Jude Bellingham pursuit amid Liverpool and Real Madrid interest
Real Madrid and Liverpool both stand equally interested in English international Jude Bellingham. The 19-year-old has world-class performances on his back at an extremely young age and that makes him an exciting prospect for either club.
However, amid growing interest from Liverpool, journalist Jan Aage Fjortoft (h/t Liverpool Echo) says that there are certainly ‘No Favourites’ in the transfer race. Apparently, the player’s representatives are in conversations with Real and Liverpool.
But the Reds need to understand the urgency and try to negotiate a deal quicker than Los Blancos. Losing Aurelien Tchouameni to them in the summer was a good enough blow and we undeniably do not want any more of that.
Spanish reports suggest that the player is inching towards a move to Real and English papers write about him moving to Liverpool. That is why speculation could take us nowhere and acting swiftly on the scenario is the best thing for the club to do.
Will Jude move to Real or Liverpool?
We know Bellingham’s quality and more importantly, we also know why the Reds need him. These current midfield choices are certainly not sustainable in the long run and the long-term future of the club, and a move for a midfielder would be wise, to say the least.
The player sees himself on Liverpool’s radar ever since his move to Borussia Dortmund back in 2020 from Birmingham City. The player’s statistics from this season reads nine goals and three assists from 22 appearances across all competitions.
Bellingham is considered one of the most promising young talents in football and Liverpool cannot afford to miss out on him. The club should move swiftly to finalise a deal before Real Madrid can make a move.
This is a crucial time for the Reds as they look to build a strong team for the future and Bellingham’s signing could be a big step in the right direction.
