Speaking to the media ahead of the Merseyside derby, as quoted by the Guardian, Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp is fully committed to rebuilding this team and bringing the good times back to the club.
There have been unusual suggestions, mainly from the outside world that Klopp could walk amidst the turmoil inside the club and how the results have dropped compared to last season.
But, the German signed a new contract in April and has previously stated that he is ready to go through this transition phase at the club and bring the good times back.
He has reiterated that fact once again when asked about potentially having less energy for the job (h/t Guardian
):“I have too much responsibility and I want it and I want to sort it again. I am 100% committed. If we win I feel like I was part of it but if we lose I feel 100% responsible. I was always like this in my life, so you can imagine how big the responsibility at the moment is and how I feel now and we will do absolutely everything to get through this and prepare the very positive future again.”
It is heartening to see Klopp ensuring that he is committed to doing what it takes to rebuild this team and bring positive vibes back to the club.
No Liverpool fan would want him gone anyway, so this quote comes as a source of great relief and energy. Legend Jamie Carragher has said that he will change everything at the club but won’t let Klopp go. We can concur with that view!
A couple of days ago, Jonathan Northcroft has reported in The Times that the club is set to back the manager with significant funds in the coming summer window. If that is indeed the case, there is no one better than Klopp to make the best use of the funds to buy the right players.
Although the recent form is rotten, to say the least, a win over local rivals Everton at Anfield has the potential to reignite our campaign. Let’s hope we do that tonight and bring new energy to the team, the manager and the fans.
