Popular journalist confirms Liverpool have contacted La Liga sensation

Popular journalist confirms Liverpool have contacted Ansu Fati

Liverpool is among the three Premier League clubs that have reportedly contacted Barcelona forward Ansu Fati. Popular journalist Ben Jacobs revealed that Liverpool, along with Arsenal and Manchester United, have expressed their interest in the young star.

Fati is a top prospect and one of the brightest talents in the Barcelona academy. He has already made a name for himself, despite not being in the best of form this season. The Spaniard has struggled for game time.

Liverpool’s interest in Fati is understandable. The Reds are a top team in Europe, having won the Champions League and the Premier League in recent years. Adding a player of Fati’s talent would make them stronger.

Fati is the kind of player that Liverpool needs. He is young, talented, and has a bright future ahead of him. The 20-year-old is a versatile forward who can play on the left or right wing, as well as through the middle.

However, signing Fati won’t be easy. Barcelona is a top club and won’t let go of their prized asset without a fight. According to Jacobs, it could take a huge offer close to £100 million to tempt Barca into selling Fati.

Speaking exclusively about Fati’s transfer prospects to Caught Offside, here is what Jacobs had to say about the player’s links to Liverpool.

“Barcelona boss Xavi has come out and said that Ansu Fati is not for sale, but sometimes financial needs must. Any outgoings this summer will be against the backdrop of Barcelona’s need to cut their wage bill by €150-200m or bring in significant income”

“Fati is by no means one the highest earners at the club, but he’s still on an excellent wage and a young and talented forward who will command a healthy fee.”

Losing Fati would be a huge blow, especially since he is seen as the future of the club. Barcelona boss Xavi has already come out and said that Fati is not for sale. Still, the financial needs of the club may force them to sell some of their players.

Jacobs noted that Barcelona needs to cut their wage bill by €150-200m or bring in significant income. Some heads might have to be sacrificed at the Catalan club and Fati could be one of the more sellable assets that they have.

If Liverpool is serious about signing Fati, they will need to make a substantial offer. The Reds have the financial muscle to pull off a deal, but they need to figure out how the Spaniard will fit in. Let’s see how this develops.
