“Nonsense”- Liverpool superstar’s agent provides timely transfer boost ahead of decisive run of games

Ramy Abbas Issa downplays Mohamed Salah Liverpool exit fears

Mohamed Salah is already a legend at Anfield and one of the finest players to grace the Premier League. He has won it all with the Reds and recently penned an extension that should keep him at Anfield for several years to come.

Jurgen Klopp’s side have been nothing short of juggernauts but have collapsed by the wayside this season. A top-four finish remains the club’s lone shot at redemption in a campaign that has fallen well short of expectations.

With UEFA Champions League qualification not guaranteed, there are murmurs of Salah’s future being up in the air. Losing him would be a cruel blow for a side seeking to rebuild.

Thankfully for Liverpool, Ramy Abbas Issa, Salah’s agent has taken to Twitter to dismiss the notion that his client is on his way out of the club.

If his words are to be believed, the Egyptian superstar has not even considered the notion of the Reds failing to qualify for the continent’s top competition. Given how the side have overcome challenges in the past, the 30-year-old has cause for optimism.

Liverpool have two games in hand over fourth-placed Tottenham Hotspur and still have to play the north Londoners at Anfield. As long as we keep winning our games, one can argue that fate is still in our own hands.

Salah has 19 goals and nine assists across 35 games this season for Liverpool. He isn’t just the club’s top scorer but also the lead assist getter. While Darwin Nunez and co are certainly the club’s future, Salah’s presence certainly makes their job easier as they come to terms with life and expectations on Merseyside.

Salah has never experienced a season lacking Champions League football at Liverpool. Whatever his future holds in the summer, it will be premature to dismiss the Reds’ making a late run to secure a top-four finish this season.
