Jose Enrique claims Bayern Munich midfielder Ryan Gravenberch will be a Liverpool player
Former Liverpool ace Jose Enrique has claimed that Liverpool will sign Bayern Munich star Ryan Gravenberch and believes the “player is ours”.
Jurgen Klopp is keen to add reinforcements to the middle of the park in the upcoming transfer window. According to the Reds’ ex-defender, the Merseyside outfit are set to acquire the services of the Holland international from the Bundesliga giants.
Speaking on a live stream via Mirror, Enrique was asked about the 20-year-old and revealed that Liverpool have already held a meeting with the midfielder’s representatives in London.
“This player is ours, amigo… He said ‘yeah’. It’s the same agent as me, team Raiola. We had a meeting not long ago in London, this is our player.”
Gravenberch made his way through the youth ranks at Ajax. In the 2020/21 campaign, the youngster established himself in the Eredivisie outfit’s first team and became a regular member of the starting lineup.
Subsequently, last summer, Bayern came calling for the 20-year-old’s services. However, the midfielder has not enjoyed the best of spells so far with the Bavarians.
Julian Nagelsmann has the likes of Joshua Kimmich, Leon Goretzka and Jamal Musiala at his disposal for the engine room. As a result, the former Ajax star has found game time hard to come by, starting in just one league game.
In the current campaign, Liverpool have struggled to hit the heights of previous years. Veterans Fabinho and Jordan Henderson are not in the best of forms at the moment, while Thiago Alcantara has once again been plagued by injuries.
The Reds also have a number of midfielders whose contracts are about to end. James Milner, Naby Keita and Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain will see their deals expire at the end of the season.

Therefore, we evidently need to bolster the middle of the park in the upcoming transfer window. However, it remains to be seen whether Enrique is right about Gravenberch switching to the Anfield side.
