Jude Bellingham to make a decision on his future amidst Liverpool interest
The lack of club football in this international break brings us back to the same old topic of Jude Bellingham and his potential move to Liverpool Football Club at the end of this season. The Athletic recently talked about how it is getting increasingly tough for the Reds to land the 19-year-old.
Even though that report was extremely disappointing for all Liverpool fans alike after the Reds’ extensive interest in the player for over two seasons now, former England international Graham Bailey has a different perspective on how things might pan out with respect to Jude moving to the Reds.
Liverpool’s midfield issues this season are crystal clear for even a blind person to see and it is almost certain that the Reds will get on board new midfielders at the club over the summer. While Bellingham is the top target, we have plenty of other targets on our radar as well.
Speaking to the Talking Transfers Podcast via Liverpool Echo, here is what Bailey said on the prospect of Jude joining the Reds in the summer contrary to what The Athletic talked about very recently:
“He comes with a huge wage packet as well Bellingham. From our understanding they’re (Liverpool) still in the race, it is where it is. Bellingham we expect him to make a decision and to tell Dortmund where he is by the end of the month, but some people are saying that it could be by Easter which is a few weeks later.”
Jude to the Reds?
Bellingham is certainly one of the brightest young talents in European football and has been a key player for Borussia Dortmund since joining the club from Birmingham City in 2020. His impressive performances have obviously already earned him a starter role for the England national team, and he is widely regarded as one of the best young midfielders in the game.
There is an evident need for a new set of midfielders at the club and given Liverpool’s links with Jude for over two years now, it became almost certain that in case he moves from Dortmund, he would join Liverpool but things do not look that simple now.
Bellingham’s skill and energy in midfield would certainly be a welcome addition to the Liverpool squad, helping to negate the effect of a potential transition in the midfield and an ageing squad in general. His ability to drive forward and create chances would also provide a new dimension to Liverpool’s attacking play.
With some key players like James Milner and Jordan Henderson approaching the end of their careers, it’s essential for the club to bring in fresh talent to ensure continued success in the future.

Overall, it’s clear that bringing in a player of Bellingham’s calibre would be a smart move for Liverpool. With his potential and talent, he could certainly be a key player for the club for years to come, helping to maintain their status as one of the top teams in English football.
