Liverpool eye move for Arsenal youngster Ethan Nwaneri
Arsenal starlet Ethan Nwaneri recently made the headlines when he appeared as a substitute for Mikel Arteta’s side against Brentford earlier this season. He is the youngest ever player to feature in a Premier League game, and ever since then, plenty of clubs including Liverpool want to secure his services and snatch him away from the Gunners.
The youngster made his Arsenal debut at just 15 years old, but Liverpool, Chelsea and Man City stand strongly linked with the midfielder. In 21 appearances including that one against Brentford this season, the player has four goals and four assists across all competitions for the Age Group sides of Arsenal this season.
Nwaneri plays an attacking midfield role primarily in addition to playing on the wings and as a second striker as well. In case the Reds manage to get him, he will straight away hope to make a mark in the age-group squads before making it to Jurgen Klopp’s squad.
Speaking on The Gooner Talk YouTube channel, Football London’s Tom Canton has been discussing Ethan Nwaneri’s future at Arsenal and here is what he had to say about the same:
“We still don’t know if the youngster will be committing his future to Arsenal. Manchester City, Liverpool, Chelsea and a number of other clubs are all interested in the youngster who became the youngest Premier League player ever against Brentford in that game earlier this season,”
Nwaneri to the Reds?
Liverpool has a history of developing young talent, and Nwaneri could be the perfect addition to their academy. The club has a strong track record of nurturing young players and giving them a chance to shine in the first team.
