Liverpool star Andy Robertson hits back at Rodri in Scotland’s 2-0 win over Spain
Liverpool left-back and Scotland captain Andy Robertson has hit back at Spain’s Rodri over his comments regarding Scotland’s playing style in their recent Euro 2024 qualifier match. “They were going down a little bit easily. We were always going to be physical, we wanted to win our challenges – we did that, and I don’t think we crossed a line. We got under their skin a bit. It was an all-round top performance.”
Spain’s Rodri had suggested that Scotland were wasting too much time during the game and that their physicality was not in line with fair play. However, Robertson argued that Scotland had played within the rules of the game and that their approach had helped them to secure a 2-0 victory.
