Primary Liverpool target Jude Bellingham to make his future’s decision imminently

As per Ruhr Nachrichten (h/t Express), Borussia Dortmund midfielder Jude Bellingham will decide on his future imminently amidst strong links with Liverpool.

The England international has been linked with the Reds for what seems like an eternity now. Manchester City, Real Madrid and other top clubs are also in the race. Recent revelations have pushed Madrid away from this transfer race till the finish line though.

Whoever signs him in the summer, this transfer may break the British record that was recently set by Chelsea when they signed Enzo Fernandez from Benfica for a fee of around £106.8m.

From the player’s viewpoint, the saga around his future mustn’t drag middle into the summer. So, it isn’t a bad idea to make his plans clear in the coming days.

As Liverpool fans, we hope that the club has done the necessary groundwork and have the money ready to sign Bellingham if he decides to join us irrespective of whether we offer Champions League football for next season or not.

We do not have to explain the importance of the 19-year-old’s transfer to a club because it is a daily occurrence these days that a story about his future comes.

But, for Liverpool, they must look at midfield options even if they sign Bellingham. The situation we are in with the squad – it requires two to three top-quality midfield additions in the summer. If the former Birmingham City is one, who are the other two?

Reports have linked us with Moises Caicedo and Mason Mount, while it is said that the Reds have a concrete interest in Alexis Mac Allister. Two of those with Bellingham would be a solid window for the club in terms of midfield recruitments.

Can we do that though? Will we have the money to do it? Will the owners finally dip into their pockets? We have no answers to that at the moment.
