Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp to get punished for the actions during the Spurs game
According to Express, Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp is in line to get punished for his actions during and after the game against Tottenham Hotspur on Sunday.
After Diogo Jota scored the winner in the 95th minute, 90 seconds after Richarlison made it 3-3, Klopp immediately ran towards the fourth official John Brooks to rant about something. In making that run, he did pull his hamstring which was funny, to say the least (painful for him).
Seconds before the Richarlison goal, Mohamed Salah was in behind the Tottenham defence, only for his shirt to be pulled back by Ben Davies. The referee did not spot that foul, instead gave it in Spurs’ favour for Salah’s arm on the defender. That decision irked Klopp.
The German received a yellow card from on-field referee Paul Tierney after the final whistle. During the media press conference, Klopp did not hold back while talking about the aforementioned official, accusing him of bias against Liverpool and revealing that something was said to him that he cannot repeat.
The PGMOL have heard the audio of that conversation and cleared Tierney of any sort of unprofessional behaviour. We are not surprised that a refereeing organisation is defending their employee.
If they are that sure about the incident, why not release the audio in the public domain and let everyone decide who is in the wrong here?
Some of the refereeing decisions Tierney has made against Liverpool is simply shocking. He was the on-field referee when Rodri handled the ball in his box during a crunch league game against Everton last season, only for the VAR to give no penalty as well. Manchester City won that game and pip the Reds to the title by a solitary point.
We all remember him not sending Harry Kane off for a horrendous tackle on Andrew Robertson during the last season’s game between Liverpool and Spurs in London. Make of that what you will!

Whatever is to be said about the referee, Klopp can expect punishment for accusing him and running towards the fourth official in an ungainly manner after the Jota goal.
