Liverpool star Mohamed Salah opens up about setting records after feat in Brentford win

His goal against Brentford took Liverpool beyond the line as Mohamed Salah became the first player in the club’s history to score in nine successive home games. The win takes the club closer to our pursuit of a top-four finish this season.

We are one point behind Manchester United who see themselves in fourth place, and have two games in hand over us. However, form is on our side, as we have been unbeaten in all our games since Jurgen Klopp decided to shake up things at the club in terms of tactics and set Trent Alexander-Arnold as an inverted full-back.

Speaking of Salah though, the records don’t seem to stop and knowing the goal-hungry player individual in him, Mo would obviously stand extremely delighted to get one more record, and more importantly, take Liverpool over the line in this crunch situation during the season.

“I feel at home here, I’m so happy at Liverpool. I work really hard and I’m motivated by breaking records, scoring goals and winning with the team”.

Ever since his move to the Reds in 2017, he has been a constant live wire and a huge threat for the opposing defenders. Arguably the biggest attacking threat in the club’s recent history, Salah’s words definitely seem like he is as hungry as usual to get more and more goal contributions.

Mo and King Kenny are the only kings we know

Even though the goal today against the Bees, not a typical Mohamed Salah finish, was just enough to get the Reds through the line. The defenders sustained enough pressure from Brentford’s attackers in the second half to ensure a clean sheet for Alisson, notably his 100th in the Premier League.

We owe AS Roma a great deal, don’t we? Having said that, the next focus for the team would obviously be to ensure three points in the bag in the next game.

A trip to Leicester City on 15th May awaits. Under new gaffer Dean Smith, the Foxes remain unbeaten in their last three games and would be a sizeable task for Liverpool and Salah to break the barrier to get the three points for the Reds from the King Power Stadium.

With Salah obviously hungry to score goals and get more wins for Liverpool, where he feels at home, we as fans best be assured that there would be no lapses in terms of commitment from Mo and co. in our pursuit of a top-four league finish for UCL football.
